Reggel 9-kor indult a gép Hanoiba. A reptér nagyon meglepett, modern, meglehetősen nagy, mintha nemrég építették volna. A jegyek általában 100 USD-be kerülnek a környező országokba, ami rengeteg időt tud megspórolni, ha nincs sok ideje valakinek, mert óriás távolságok vannak. Öt-hat óránál többet utazni busszal elég fárasztó, az éjszakai buszok egész jó opciónak tűnnek, de egy kedves barátnőmnek megígértem, hogy nem fogok azokkal utazni, mert sok balesetről hallott. Majd megadom az ő hitelkártya adatait az enyém helyett, ha repjegyet veszek, hihiJ.

Ma este megérkezett Melinda és a barátnője, Ildi, aki 6 napot lesz velünk. Utána Melindával folytatjuk utunkat Vietnámban és a többi országban.

Hanoi sokkal jobban tetszik, mint Saigon. Igazi ázsiai város, ki utcákkal, apró boltokkal és persze itt is robogó ezrei. Azt hittük, nem lehet rosszabb Saigonnál, de itt is ugyanannyi motor van és ráadásul a szűk utcák miatt járda sincs, pontosabban van, de azon robogók parkolnak. Tehát félig az úton kell mennedJ.

Rengeteg bolt van, ahol koppintott táskákat, túranadrágokat, cipőket vehetsz. (Nike-tól kezdve, Samsonite, minden van, néhány ezer forintért). Vajon miért van mindenkin North Face kabát itt?:)

Voltunk a néprajzi múzeumban is, ahol egy skanzen üzemel. Főleg a hegyi törzsek életét mutatta be. Pl. ez a közösségi ház a falu fő épülete, ahol összegyűltek a falubeliek szórakozni.

Este elmentünk a vízi bábszínházba, amihez elég szkeptikusan álltam, de azt kell mondjam, hogy hatalmas élmény volt. Élő zenekar van és a bábok a vízben mozognak, aranyhalak, sárkányok és persze rizsföldeken dolgozó parasztok voltak a bábuk:).

Holnap indulás a Halong öbölbe, már nagyon várom! Szerintem a világ egyik legszebb helye! Egy hajón fogunk aludni és bejárni vele az öblöt. Utána jelentkezem!

HANOI

The flight left at 9.00 AM this morning, the airport is really big and modern. The flight tickets usually cost around 100 -150 USD for the surrounding cities and countries, which is great, as you can save a lot of time. Traveling with a bus for more than 5-6 hours is a nightmare. Night buses are an option for longer trips, but one of my friends made me promise not to go with them, as there are accidents occurring time to time. So I made my promise to her. I might give her credit card details, when I have to buy the flight tickets instead, hahaJ.

Tonight Melinda and her friend, Ildi arrived. They flew in from Phuket, through Bangkok. Ildi is staying for 6 days, then Melinda and I are off to explore Vietnam further and then the rest of the counties.

I prefer Hanoi to Saigon, it’s a real Asian treasure, with tiny shops, narrow streets. Of course it’s also full of scooters and motorbikes. We thought it couldn’t be worse than Saigon, but here, since the streets are narrow the bikes park on the pedestrian, so you have to walk on the road, next to the bikes and carsJ.

You can buy all sorts of fake bags, cloth, trekking gear etc, for nothing. (Nike, Columbia, Samsonite etc) I wonder why everyone has a North Face jacket here?:)

We went to the museum of ethnography, which has an open door museum of hill tribe villages. Above you can see a photo of a village communal house, where locals gathered to socialize.

We went to the water puppet show, which I wasn’t really looking for to see, but I have to say, it was a great experience. Live music, the puppets are in the water, dragons, fish, peasants of the rice fields, really authenticJ.

We are leaving of Halong Bay tomorrow. I can’t wait, I think it’s the prettiest place in the world!:)) We will spend the night on a boat and cruise around the bay. See you soon!:)
